Why Polyvora?
Polyvora is Citizen Scientific Workshop's brand of machines. Citizen Scientific Workshop (CSW) has been building machines for 11 years, and is pleased to offer and support this Polyvora line of tools.
CSW believes strongly in the quality and safety of machines. Our customers get reliable and safe plastic-repurposing machines that fit their goals, space, and electrical setup. Domestic customers also avoid import costs that double the price of a machine.
When purchasing from us, you gain access to our experience and continued support to get you up and running quickly, and keep you running. Between an in-house PhD polymer chemist (trained at Harvard and Berkeley) and an expert in electrical and mechanical engineering, we can help with all of your questions.
Start here to begin turning plastic waste into new and exciting products.
Polyvora offers four levels of plastic recycling machines: Desktop, Basic, Pro, and XL.
Our Desktop models are perfect for use at home and in grade schools, while the Basic models are great for individual efforts as well as prototyping. The Pro machines are built for multi-user operations and small-scale production, while the XL machines are suitable for light-industrial efforts and for making large products.
Molds
We produce molds for use with the plastic recycling machines. The molds allow you to create shaped products, ranging from beams to bricks to tiles.
High Quality Materials
Our machine designs are aligned to nationally recognized compliance and safety standards, and we can work with you to achieve compliance and safety through NRTL Certifications.
We use the highest-quality components and materials on all of our machines. One especially critical example is our use of 0.25″ AR500 steel for shredder blades. AR500 steel is >2x harder than mild and stainless steel, has better abrasion resistance, and is less likely to rust compared with mild steel.
Our approach to safety and durability results in recycling machines of extremely high quality. Pairing this high quality with exceptional customer service (and our ability to accept purchase orders) makes Polyvora the premier North American manufacturer of plastic recycling tools for use at home, schools, and small businesses.
