The Extruder XL is a single-barrel extruder that is capable of processing 65+ lbs of plastic per hour, depending on the base material and additives. The Extruder XL includes four heating zones as well as a high-temperature safety cut-off function. The unit uses a 5 hp motor and 220 V, 30 A power, although it can be configured for 3-phase power, if desired. The screw is 50 mm in diameter and 1680 mm long.  

To reduce the potential for damage, the motor and hopper are removed for shipping and are affixed to the floor of the shipping pallet. Attaching the components only requires connecting bolts and 4 wires. The only required tools for attaching these components are a phillips screwdriver, pliers, and a socket set.
